Glorious Achievement of NCC Cadets in National Firing Competition-Felicitation Ceremony at Rajdhani College

Bhubaneswar: A special felicitation ceremony was organized this morning at Rajdhani College, Bhubaneswar under the joint initiative of NCC Directorate, Odisha and Sambalpur NCC Group. In this program, 16 NCC cadets who secured the 4th position in the National Level Firing/Shooting Competition held at Kolhapur, Maharashtra, were proudly felicitated.

The Chief Guest of the occasion was Mr. Kali Prasanna Mohapatra, Director, Higher Education, while Col. Prasad Kadam, Group Commander, Sambalpur, graced the ceremony as the Guest of Honour. The Principal of Rajdhani College, faculty members, more than 200 students, and NCC cadets of the college were also present, adding grandeur to the event.

All 16 cadets were felicitated with commendation letters. Among them, Chaitanya Prasad Murmu (Silver Medal) and Satyabrata Nayak (Gold Medal) received special recognition for their outstanding performance. The firing team was mentored and led by Lt. Col. Mayurr, who played a vital role in their success as a true guide and motivator.

The stage conduction and vote of thanks were offered by Lt. Bibhuti Bhusan Mohapatra, ANO, NCC Army. The presence of various Battalion Commanding Officers, Administrative Officers, GCI, and PI staff made the program even more dignified.

This felicitation ceremony was not only a recognition of the cadets’ achievements but also a proud acknowledgment of their hard work, dedication, and discipline, which brought glory to the state of Odisha.
